The Gym

I use to dread going to the gym. Let me rephrase that last sentence. I still dread going to the gym but for other reasons. I originally dreaded going to the gym because I did not know what to do there. What machines I should use, how to use them etc... Now that I know how to use a few of them I am comfortable using them. However, it is more the fact that i am lazy with getting my ass to the gym. Once I am at the gym I notice how people for the most part exercise painlessly as if it is part of their normal routine. However, I being self-conscious notice I mus be one of the odd person out of the bunch. However, every once in awhile someone seems to be more lost than I am which is actually reassuring. On one of my more recent visits a guy was trying to mimic what I was doing for my routine. The person was trying to be nonchalant but it was very obvious it was their first time at the gym. On another occasion, about a month ago, someone was asking me about how they can get a locker for the day. It is great to see others that are more lost than I am because I feel more comfortable and I feel more at home and not the person wearing the new shoes on the block.
