Trying to sleep...

I find it difficult to sleep in beds other than my own. No people I am on vacation... You all have dirty minds... Anyways the people outside talking left by the time I went to sleep. Since I had no running hot water for the past few days I was in need of a shoer BADLY. Before going to sleep I took a nice hot shower. I hen curled up into bed (on a fold out couch) okay to be honest I checked my email and wrote a blog post last night. Damn you guys... Well anyways I started to hear a drip sound and it was very consistent. I went to the shower to see if the water was dripping out of the nozzle. No it wasn't. i then noticed it was a clock on the wall. Somehow the noise was very subtle. However the area in the room I was attempting to sleep somehow amplified the noise to be much more louder and intrusive to me. The joys of sleeping...

A few minor hiccups... But it went fine...

After a few minor hiccups the event turned out great. Ironically, it was the biggest event yet... That in itself was amazing! We had about 50 people total and at any given time during the peak we had about 30 people. So basically some people left early and some arrived late which kept the party going for awhile. I still have a few issues to settle in regards to the can't pleasing everyone. I was informed of a sneaky thing someone did with messing with the RSVP list. Since it is so minor I almost do not even feel like bringing it up. However, since it is my RSVP list that was tempered with I believe I should. Nobody was not allowed in or anything. Just something I probably should settle eventually. Okay when I get around to it... Really I will...

It is impossible to please everyone...

I do not expect to please everyone but I try to always avoid conflicts and confrontations. It is rather difficult when you plan an event and then a friend plans an event at the same time as yours. (This is what I am going through.) Then after people RSVP to your event. A few people want you to change your event to accommodate their newly posted event. The nerve of some people right? Since I already had my event planned out I will not be changing it. It is not fair to cancel an event to accommodate someone else. I am looking forward to my own event and the majority will be happy with my decision. It is impossible to please everyone right? I will keep you all posted on how everything went. How many people did I piss off? How many people enjoyed themselves? We will find out soon.

My Vacation: Lost in the middle of nowhere without a map

Last week I was on vacation. Okay really I was... But you are right it is no excuse not to post since I was only on vacation for a few days and not a month. Sorry once again all. The most memorable experience for me is being lost in the many different ghettos of Philadelphia. We had no idea how to get back to the Bed & Breakfast we were staying. We tried asking for directions at a gas station only to get lost further. It was a nightmare... We must have been driving around for 45 minutes or so lost. I finally decided to try calling 1-800-555-TELL to see if they offer directions. As I remember the service offers movie tickets pay-by-phone, news, sports, weather, and even blackjack. So on the slight chance they offered driving I thought it was worth calling since it is a free call. I had nothing to loose. It was around midnight and I was reaching desperation. Sure enough TellMe gave me driving directions. In order to use them we had to pull over at an intersection and get the driving directions. I had to say the city and state first. Then a few seconds later I had to give the address or intersection. The automated system then asked for the destination in the same fashion. Almost instantly I was given driving directions and was back at the Bed and Breakfast in less than 10 minutes. The directions given to us required a lot of turns on several small streets. Philadelphia's streets are not simply laid out in a grid like pattern. My only gripe about TellMe is they are a Microsoft subsidiary. This is the only thing useful to me from Microsoft in a long time. I also do not believe in data plans on my cellphone so mapquest was out of the question... This service works with a few hiccups and saved the day. Umm night rather.
